Starbucks
I am really sorry to say that I'm disappointed in this one. Usually I am pretty impressed with Starbucks bathrooms and I like this one but for some reason this bathroom really rubbed me the wrong way.
I'll get to the plusses of the restroom first. The floor only had one piece of paper on it. There was a big waste basket with an open top. (I don't like the swingy or push open ones) and there was a bench. That's right, a bench. Check the pics, my coffee is sitting on that bench. I have no idea why you would need a bench in a one person bathroom, but this one had one.
Now for the bad. The toilet paper was two ply but thin. At first I thought it was one ply but it looks like the last user got a hold of one of the plys and left one behind. Normally I applaud two ply but this toilet paper looked thin and uninviting. The group ion the tiles was green. I'm going to assume that's from whatever they use to clean the tiles. This was far enough in front of the toilet that even Helen Keller wouldn't have missed that bad, if she had a penis.
Check out the picture of the freaking soap dispenser, it's almost a mile from the sink. The soap was flowery smelling and I guess not too bad. The sink had push down faucets. I have mixed reactions on those. Well, they suck. It shows that the owner doesn't think that people know better than to not leave the faucet running, they never stay on long enough, and they seem to be broken often. Mine didn't stay on for as long as needed and I had to hit the damn thing five times to rinse my hands. Only after the fifth time did I actually start feeling hot water coming out.
The kicker was the paper towels. They usually have single paper towels in a nice holder. On my visit, the holder was empty and there was a small amount of paper towels left on a roll. Not impressive.
I'm going to cut this one a little shorter than usual but I do want to explain one thing. I know I was a little harsh on this one but I expect much more from Starbucks. Considering that I'm paying more than double than what I should for coffee, I would expect they have a little more respect for where that expensive coffee reaches it's final destination.
